Description This is a Telecaster with an E-serial "Made in Japan" marking, featuring the serial number printed on the headstock. It was manufactured and assembled by Fujigen between 1984 and 1987. Being made in Japan, it offers excellent quality and cost-performance while also delivering modern playability suitable for various styles. The neck, with a moderate thickness, is marked with "Custom Order" and "CTL-50M," while the neck pocket is labeled "TL'72-60," indicating that this was a custom-ordered piece at the time. The "CTL-50M" predates the release of the "TL72-55" and was initially introduced under the Squier brand as the "CTL-50." Like the "TL72-55," it came with either a maple or rosewood fingerboard. It was described as a "70's Telecaster" in the catalog at the time, essentially making it equivalent to the "TL72-55." However, due to limited documentation from that period, a definitive classification is challenging. The standout feature of this guitar is its gold hardware, which gives it a distinctive and special appearance, likely as part of the custom order. The body is most commonly ash or sen wood, though there’s a possibility it’s made of basswood. The maple neck has a comfortable grip, paired with a maple 21-fret fingerboard.
