The painted portions could be repainted in a different color if desired. An authentic antique original, this piece possesses a unique charm that is sure to enhance any room's ambiance. The salvage aspect of this lighting piece speaks to its history and character, as it was originally installed in March of 1931 and removed in the 1990's. It does have some small surface rust spots on the chrome. The updated wiring ensures that it meets modern safety standards. Its timeless design allows for seamless integration into both vintage and contemporary decor, making it a versatile choice for lighting up your space with a touch of classic sophistication. The overall diameter is 14" with aa drop of 11" from the ceiling. The canopy is 6-1/8" in diameter. It will accommodate up to a 200 watt incandescent bulb. It was originally intended to be used with a "mirror bowl" bulb that has a silver reflector on the top of the bulb. These bulbs are still available. (The bulb shown is a standard incandescent 200 watt bulb which is not included.)
