Pair of ALABAX White Porcelain Pull Chain Sconces, Original Mounting Hardware These art deco, white porcelain sconces were manufactured by Pass & Seymour in Solvay, NY and they were marketed as ALABAX, the trademark that Pass & Seymour used for their porcelain line. These fixtures first appeared in the 1930's catalogs but they continued into the early 1950's. The sconces are in very good condition and they have the original mounting hardware. We have carefully cleaned the fixtures and have disassembled, cleaned and lubed the pull chain switches. We added new nickeled pull chains in order to brighten them up. The original pull knobs were missing when we got them, so we added new plastic ones. We rewired the fixtures. We also rewired the two prong receptacles, but since these are not the modern 3-wire grounded system, the buyer should discuss with their electrician as to whether to hook them up. Everything has been tested and is guaranteed to work correctly. Dimensions: 6" H x 4-1/4" W where it meets the wall (7-1/4" to end of chain), project 4" from the wall. They use standard base bulbs (not included). We have an identical pair of new old stock sconces in this listing .
