Vintage "Thonet-Style" Steam-Bent Wood Corner Chair. Wrap around curved back with integral arms. Signs of wear, a few scratches and worn seat all consistent with age and doesn’t detract from appearance or use. Vintage steam-bent wood corner chair with saddle-shaped pressed seat with shell motif. Wrap around curved back with integral arms. Possible antique Michael Thonet but not authenticated. Original wood peg construction is evident with subsequent work by a prior owner done with older metal screws. Signs of wear, a few scratches and worn seat all consistent with age and doesn’t detract from appearance or use. Previous repairs on underside and some care needed but it is still very lovely and absolutely able to be used for the intended purpose without change.
