Seattle Washington World's Fair Science Building and Space Needle1962 Vintage Postcard 27602 This postcard captures the dramatic spires of the U.S. Science Pavilion with the Space Needle towering in the background at the 1962 Seattle World's Fair, officially known as the Century 21 Exposition. The sharp Gothic-inspired arches of the pavilion frame the iconic modernist Space Needle against a vivid blue sky. Leafless tree branches stretch into the foreground, adding a sense of season and depth. The back of the card is postmarked during the fair and includes a handwritten message noting a full day spent at the exposition. The fair ran from April 21 to October 21, 1962, and was designed to showcase futuristic themes of science and space exploration. The postcard was published by C. P. Johnston Co., with color photo by Max R. Jensen.
