Item # 53131 Dating from the Victorian Eastlake era, where wealth was displayed by having fine furniture, this dresser or chest has a gorgeous marble top and carved crest. 1870s American made antique furniture Missing label but matches other "Appes, Eggers & Co of Chicago" pieces Walnut with lovely walnut burl accents and carved floral motifs Old varnish has been cleaned and preserved with a coat of clear finish Minor mars, surface irregularities & shrinkage separations from age - see photos Brass hardware is original Drawers have pin & cove joints No keys Swivel beveled mirror has a bit of "smoke" and a large scratch - see photos Repaired marble top has been polished & sealed for protection Marble, mirror & crest are removable Size is 44" wide, 20" deep and 84" tall.
