Make sure you measure your bed frame and where the mounts are for it and measure the floor to the top of your mattress. I did NOT that is completely on me so I have to find a way to modify to raise it up. I am noodling it out. I was able to put it together on my own and I switched up which side the plug was on-easy peasy. I did get help mounting to my bed frame. With it being a king size bed it’s just big to move by myself and mount to the frame. I think with the adapters and buying some additional bolts and some blocks of wood that I will paint black I can get it raised up to where my pillows won’t cover the bottom shelf. I love it and am happy I purchased it. Came with all the necessary tools and pieces. Came quickly and no damage. Directions are easy to follow. I recommend this headboard to anyone looking for a fun and functional headboard.
