Seattle Washington Panoramic View City New Skyline Space Needle Postcard 27611 Aerial view postcard of Seattle, Washington, showing the Space Needle rising prominently above the city. This modernist tower, built for the 1962 Century 21 Exposition (Seattle World's Fair), stands as a futuristic icon with its saucer-shaped top and spire. Below it, the fairgrounds sprawl across the Seattle Center, including the distinctive white arches of the U.S. Science Pavilion (now part of the Pacific Science Center) and the angular roofline of the Washington State Coliseum (now Climate Pledge Arena). The bustling downtown area spreads out beyond the fair site, with the waterfront and Elliott Bay in the distance. The back of the card is labeled “Seattle’s New Skyline” and was published by Ellis Post Card Co. of Arlington, Washington.
