Description
Condition All postcards are unused and unposted. They show light age-related toning and handling consistent with stored paper items, but remain clean and presentable overall. No writing, stamps or postmarks. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the condition report. Description A well-matched group of 9 unused postcards, offered together as found. The lot consists of 6 Italian scene postcards dated 1943, with captions in Italian, showing period views produced during the Second World War. These are clearly wartime issues and survive unused, which adds to their appeal. Also included are 3 English scene postcards. These are undated, but were found together with the Italian examples and are believed to be from a similar era based on style, paper and printing. While no date can be confirmed, they sit very naturally within a wartime or immediate post-war context and complement the group well. All 9 postcards have been kept unused with blank backs and remain in original condition. Groups like this are popular with collectors of wartime ephemera, vintage postcards and social history material, particularly where items have remained together. Sold as a single group of 9 postcards. The photographs show the exact items you will receive and form part of the description.
