Postcard Lot Huge Mixed Collection 1,000+ Places Locations 1905-1972 Antique Vintage There are in the neighborhood of 1,000-1,100 postcards in this collection. It is a good mix of those with writing and marks, including postmarks, and those that are unmarked. Years range from 1905 through at least 1972. There may be postcards from after that as well. 55 postcards were either wrapped in plastic or in plastic sleeves. I didn't see too many postcards of people, but there are a few. There were a good number of postcards addressed to people in York, Pennsylvania, I noticed. Included are postcards written in a foreign language. There are four or five postcard souvenir sets. I don't know if they are complete. These items are in used condition with bowing, surface tearing, dinged edges and corners, turned corners, edge tearing, creasing, staining, discoloration, and marks. Some of the postcards in plastic have heavy bowing and creasing. There are postcards with tape residue or tape stuck to them, corner clips still attached, corner tearing where corner clips had been removed, and heavier tearing along the edges. Creasing is also heavy throughout. Outside of the 55 postcards previously mentioned as being in plastic, these postcards are loose and not sleeved in any way. In this collection, there are postcards with writing on the front sides as well. The postcards may be altered with ink or pencil by the original owner. Collection weighs over 10 pounds when boxed.
