Description
Lladro 4990 Timid Japanese Geisha Figurine – Retired. Normal light wear on base from display. Glossy glaze remains bright and smooth. Beautiful Lladro “Geisha with Fan” (#4990) porcelain figurine, hand-crafted and painted in Spain. Designed by José Puche and first issued in 1978, this piece features a serene Japanese woman dressed in a pastel pink and lavender kimono, holding an ornate fan and adorned with finely sculpted delicate pink porcelain flowers in her hair. An elegant and graceful example of Lladro’s artistry and attention to detail, highlighted by the smooth glazed finish and soft, muted palette typical of their earlier works. One small flower missing from the hairpiece (see close-up photos). Remaining flowers are intact with good color. No chips, cracks, or repairs to the figure or base. Glossy glaze remains bright and smooth. Normal light wear on base from display. Despite the missing flower, this is a lovely vintage example with strong shelf appeal.
