Infinite Mercy by Alan "Suicide" Vega Published on the occasion of * Alan Vega, Infinite Mercy * at the Musée D'art Contemporain de Lyon, May 15 - August 2, 2009. Lyon: Les Presses du Réel 2010 First Edition Quarto, publisher's original white boards. Illustrated throughout in full color. Slight bump to corner of rear board, else in very good condition. Infinite Mercy is a pivotal monograph that captures the unique visual art of Alan Vega, a trailblazer in both music and art. Published in 2010, this volume accompanied Vega’s first and only museum retrospective at Lyon MOCA and remains the most comprehensive documentation of his visual career. It features a reproduction of Vega’s influential 1977 magazine Art Rite #13, a previously unpublished 16-page work, and vibrant photographs from the Lyon exhibition. Vega’s contributions to the New York alternative art scene extended beyond his role as the co-founder of the legendary electronic duo Suicide; he was an accomplished visual artist who began as a painter studying under Ad Reinhardt. By the late 1960s, Vega shifted his focus to light-based assemblages, creating evocative pieces that blended neon, found objects, and televisions. Infinite Mercy provides an intimate look at Vega’s radical, anti-aesthetic approach to art, highlighting how he combined his visual and musical practices to profoundly influence contemporary culture. The parcel was packaged and wrapped with significant care, I didn’t recognize it was my package at first due to its size…I would’ve gladly paid shipping fees for this kind of extensive packaging. Nothing was damaged during transit and it arrived on time, excellent work! The item itself is also exactly as described by the seller, no more no less. I am well satisfied with this purchase. Great seller!! A+++
Fantastic seller. Contacted me almost immediately with shipping details and an explanation about a potential delay due to the Juneteeth holiday. Book was wrapped in a ridiculous amount of bubble wrap so it would arrive safely. So awesome to have a book from the early 1800s on free trade. This was absolutely a great value and would buy from again! I have zero complaints.
