Description

Clock is likely English, however given it's age and style its is impossible to tell. The clock is a scarce gravity Clock with a long sawtooth post, allowing the weighted zappler style Clock to move down. The large mounted lead surround on the clock itself powers the clock as it falls down the shaft. Porcelain dial, with gilt metal decorative surround, and a very heavy brass case. A wonderful example of early mystery clocks, made of the finest craftsmanship. Saddly it is missing its hands (lost when the clock was shipped to me years ago) The movement is an 30 hour, time-only, zappler style mechanism, not currently running but will tick for a few minutes before stopping A rare and exceptional find, especially in this condition.
