The candle has a timer that will turn on the same time everyday for 6 hours and then turn off for 18 hours and can be used with or without the base These cordless flameless candles can be used without having to worry about open flame, cool to the touch. Also great as an emergency candle. Uses 3 AA alkaline batteries (sold separately) which will last the whole Christmas and holiday season. Never need to change the LED light source. The Affinity battery operated 3 inch votive candle with new 3D technology LED flame recreates the movement of a real candle flame. It has a warm white flame color that can be turned on or off by just tilting the candle. It also has a timer that will turn on the same time everyday for 6 hours. You can use it with or without the decorative base. Safe around children and pets because there is no hot wax or dangerous flame. With an LED light source you will never need to replace the bulb. The candle uses 3 AA alkaline batteries (sold separately).
