This is a working pull from a 1997 Cub Cadet 1862 garden tractor model 140-681-100 serial number 810102. The coupling boot on the engine end of the shaft is worn and needs to be replaced (part no. 735-3029). Snap ring part no. 916-0171 is missing. This assembly fits Cub Cadet models 1541 and 1862 with 18" shaft length and may fit other models as well. Other models, including models 1340, 1440, 1535, 1641, 1681, 1683, 1684 and 1782 use the same couplings but have different varying shaft lengths that are not 18".
