This is a working pull from a 1997 Cub Cadet 1862 garden tractor model 140-681-100 serial number 810102. Includes instrument panel, dash pedestal, choke cable, throttle cable, transmission cross shaft, tilt control plate, tilt button, steering shaft boot and related parts pictured. Most, but not all parts of this assembly are found on models 1340, 1535, 1541, 1782, 1860, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864, 1882, 2082, 2084, 2086, 2182, 2284 and other models as well. Pics are of the actual part or assembly for sale. Compare part numbers to ensure fit and compatibility or inquire for fast and friendly assistance. Shipping an entire mowing deck is a bit of a new experience for me, but this seller packaged it extremely well. Even the blades were wrapped to protect from the sharp edges. The deck came just as the listing stated; complete deck, blades, float wheels, usable belts. Two minor holes as anticipated from the pictures, which were promptly patched when we received it. I really can't do the packaging justice. Wrapping an irregularly shaped object like a mowing deck couldn't have been easy.
The seller was easy to communicate with and the item was as described, shipped as stated and arrival as anticipated. All fine except a plastic part on the item must have been damaged in shipping because it was loose and cracked. It was a piece that stuck out the most and the seller shrink wrapped this mower deck to ship it. It either got cracked and damaged in the shrink wrapping process or in the shipping. It was not damaged in the picture. So, that was disappointing.
Pleasantly surprised that this 20+ year old Cub mower deck looked very good in the pictures and was in even better condition when I saw it on arrival (my old one is beyond another restoration). Packaging and shipping were great. Even took the wheels off so they would not get damaged in shipping. Could have stuffed the wheels / belt / chute guard in the deck by blades, but they sent those in a separate box for even better protection from possible damage and loss.
