For sale today is this incredible archive of Nebraska photographer Archer King. King is mostly know for his exaggeration postcards. Archer is a legend in the postcard world for his extraordinary compositions and subjects! We are very lucky to have acquired a histoci collection from the estate of a lifelong collector...and friend who passed away last year. He had incredible taste and spent years tracking down incredible, rare items! This lot of no exception! Great lot which includes everything you see in the photos. This lot includes an ORIGINAL exaggeration mock up. You can see King's work in the photos. This is an original handmade exaggeration which was duplicated in his studio and used to make the classic Nebraska corn postcard. This lot also includes 28 versions of this image. INCREDIBLE. This also includes King's first test postcard. You can see by the markings the cards were used in the studio as they are marked by Roman numerals. These are Archers own marks as many of these items were originally purchased for his family members in the 70s and 80s. A terrific lot from a legendary photographer!
