Antique Victorian Hinged Patch Box with Mirror Kettle Shape Repoussé French I was told this is most likely made in France, quite an unusual shape for a beauty patch box, these held little stickers that a woman would put on their face to accent their white skin or hide a blemish, creating a beauty spot!. Some would be stars, hearts, flowers.......I have sold the art deco face patch stickers before. cute kettle shape with bale handle and sits on 3 feet, hinged lid with mirror on inside of lid. the kettle part (not counting upturned handle) is 1-1/2" tall x 1-3/4" across. the mirror measures 1" diameter Overall beautiful condition for age......the mirror does have some silvering (please view picture where I lightened the photo so you can see it better. there are no dings or dents in the metal, and no cracks in the mirror if you have any questions, please message me Thanks for viewing!
