This is a beautiful Antique silvered copper French Jewellery Casket, engraved by by the famous French engraver B.Wicker, Paris C 1880's. This wonderful casket is of very high quality and features superb engraved decoration set in panels of classical scenes. The hinged lid is decorated with a stunning engraved image entitled 'Le Denicheur de Moineaux ' , after an engraving by the great french artist François Boucher . Ornamented on each side with very intricate details and a high quality engraving . This square shape jewelry box measures 7'' by 7'' and 3'' height . Beautifully lined up interior . Good antique condition , loss to the silver plating , some tarnish , surface scratches and some stains to the interior fabrics . These are in great condition and were priced right. The quality is good and worked perfectly for keeping my cats out of my cabinets and drawers!
