Original antique lithograph titled “The Best Use of the Brooklyn Bridge in Its Present Condition” by Joseph Keppler, founder of Puck magazine, featuring a satirical Brooklyn Bridge scene. Signed “Keppler” in plate with printer line visible along lower margin (“…LITH. 24 CHURCH ST. N.Y.”). Paper shows age-appropriate toning and wear consistent with late 19th century examples. Lithograph measures approximately 13.5” x 20”. Framed size is approximately 25” x 19”. Mounted to a thin canvas backing (period mounting). Edges appear trimmed prior to mounting. Faint pencil notation “1877” visible along edge (subtle from front, clearer under backlight). Origin of notation unknown. Original centerfold crease visible from publication, with minor wear along fold line affecting small portion of printed text.
