Description
A most unusual piece with very fine Forbidden Stitch embroidery on silk. It is finished at the bottom with a beautiful, beaded trim showing fish and long tassels. It is very well framed in a dark blue shadow box with an elegant gilt wood frame. The condition is excellent. The textile has aged and shows some fading. The beaded section has some damage as pictured. The frame is in excellent shape. Framed Piece: 25” x 26” Textile Piece: 19” x 20”
