53x23 1815 Antique English or American printed chintz fabric material RARE coun. They all date 1790 to 1815 and were printed either in the USA or England. Item specifics : WOW ~ I LOVE this design! It's a light cotton with glazing on the surface. It has survived in quite amazing condition. I'm selling them individually and this is one from the collection! They all date 1790 to 1815 and were printed either in the USA or England. There was a roaring trade happening with English printed cottons, however America was also manufacturing printed cottons at that time also ~ The patterns are extraordinarily beautiful. Please see item specifics below : Item specifics : WOW ~ I LOVE this design! I have many pieces of this set ( once used as bed curtains) to view the others simply search my store for the words " 1815 chintz " ~ it's quite an extraordinary find. The printed chintz has the most wonderful misregistration as it was hand block printed. It's a light cotton with glazing on the surface. It has survived in quite amazing condition. The back is orange cotton and it was a later addition It may have been a large quantity of the fabric was found and this bedding set made of of the fabric ( as there are many pieces, which is highly unusual) The later alterations happened sometime in the late 1800 or early 1900's most likely ~ This design is one of my all-time favorite! I'm keep a piece for my collection ~ it's wonderful. Measurements: This wonderful piece measures approximately 53 inches by 23 inches CONDITION : This textile is in as found not freshly laundered condition. Stunning condition!
