1800's Thomas B. Atterbury & Co. Milk Glass Hen On Nest Uranium Eyes 7” Antique. This is an Atterbury early hen. Her base is 6 7/8” x 5 3/4” top is 6 7/16 x 4 15/16. These hens were made in a few different styles. This one has the type C lid with offset eyes and with a smooth rim base showing full braiding around the top. She has a very light uranium glaze but won’t glow under black light. She will glow with a 365 uv flashlight. Her eyes are yellow topaz uranium glass. They do light up in all uv light. This hen has been well cared for and is chip free. Very nice find! Happy bidding!! Buyers notes: first pictures are under a 365 uv flashlight last two are under a weak black light bulb.
